Baked Sweet Potatoes With Caviar Sauce

I need to be brief here: this is a real FOOD BOMB!

It is for sure the most vivid and unexpected taste for the last year, seriously. And everything is so simple! I’m writing it down for you and myself, just as a souvenir that I would like to remember. I actually consider this dish to be a culinary masterpiece. Shall we try to cook it together?

Ingredients

  • sweet potato, 2 PCs.
  • sour cream, 4 tsp.
  • caviar, 4 tsp.
  • chopped red onion, 2 tbsp.
  • olive oil

Directions

  1. We wash sweet potatoes, cut in half, grease with olive oil and bake in the oven at 200°C for 40-60 minutes.

  2. We mix caviar (in the original recipe we have pike caviar and halibut caviar, I have cod caviar), sour cream (I have 30% fat content) and finely chopped sweet red onion.

  3. We put the caviar sauce on the ready-made hot sweet potato.

Bon Appetit!

Interestingly, it turns out that this dish is very similar to the traditional Finnish appetizer, which contains ordinary potatoes, rustic sour cream and pike caviar.

And it is also interesting that since the cod caviar is very small and light, my sauce turned out very white and almost homogeneous, like an exquisite cream. And in the original recipe, caviar is larger, more textured, and even has contrasting colors. So I will definitely try it this way as well!
